Why Choosing a Major is Not Choosing a Career (...and not the end of the world)

Objectives and Outcomes

1. Students will complete an academic plan congruent with their abilities, values, and interests, mapping out their course to graduation, and be able to connect this plan with potential careers and graduate degree opportunities.

2. Students will be able to discern the difference between reliable, accurate career information and poor information, in order to formulate a well informed and researched career decision.

3. Students will become empowered by increased self knowledge to seek out and actively research potential careers and experiential opportunities such as volunteer work, internships, informational interviews, and job shadowing.
