What's your major?

One way to learn more about potential majors and careers is to ask those already immersed in the topic, or those who have been there before.  I'm interested to see what some of you are majoring in, why you've chosen this path, and possibly some resources you can share to help others interested in the major.

As an undergraduate, I was a psychology major, but for nearly two years I was undecided. What drew me to the major was my interest in learning more about individuals and developing a better understanding of different behaviors. I also was attracted to the various opportunitities to get involved in research within the department.

Here is a link to the KSU page describing opportunities for Psychology majors:

As a NCCC Panther for 1 semester, I am a Computer Science Major, but since High School I was undecided. What drew me to the major was my interest in wanting to create my own computer, my own hardware, my own software, and to learn more about how to do it. I was also attracted to how much money Computer Geeks make, how popular this opportunity is, and all the various opportunities out there that I can join and make my knowledge usable in many different ways for many different people (companies, technicians, workers, users, etc.)

I cannot get the link but, if you go to: wichita.edu

At the bottom of the Home Page, go to Academics/Majors and Programs...

From there, they list every Degree, Program, and Academic Major (A-Z) available...

Happy Searching!!!!

My major is in accounting. I have always wanted to become a CPA (certified public accountant) because I really like working with numbers. There will always be business and people needing help with their taxes and other bookkeeping functions. This field requires an attention to detail. It can require a lot of schooling in accounting and business related course depending on the level of accounting that is desired.

Thanks for the post Crystal. Why nursing, and what resources can others use to learn more about this opportunity?
